PROD TAG 411

PROD TAG 411

PROD TAG 411 is a personal tag for underground operations that combines precise UWB positioning and the RealTrac Collision Avoidance System (CAS) in one compact device. It attaches to a hard hat or to the cap lamp cable, provides bright light and loud sound signals for five types of alarms and notifications, two-way BLE communication with wristbands and workwear tags, and fall and no-movement detection. The tag is designed to run on the cap lamp battery for at least one shift in conditions of high humidity, dust, temperature and pressure changes, with protection up to IP67, and can be produced in an explosion-proof version.

PROD TAG 411 at a glance

  • One tag for two tasks: precise UWB personnel positioning and operation within RealTrac CAS to monitor dangerous proximity to vehicles.
  • Extended precise positioning range: up to 100 m from access points and RealTrac CAS antennas while maintaining high accuracy within the working range.
  • Well-designed ergonomics: the tag fits into the side slot of a hard hat and onto the cap lamp cable, adding almost no weight to the gear and not getting in the way of work.

Maximum visibility for miners

  • Bright light signals directed forward or toward the feet, so they are noticed by the person wearing the hard hat, not only by those around.
  • Five clear light and sound modes: global alarm, entry into a hazardous zone, red and yellow RealTrac CAS zones, and individual notifications.
  • Sound signals as loud as on the current PROD TAG 210 / PROD TAG 730 tags, clearly audible in a noisy mine working.

Smart safety features

  • Fall and prolonged no-movement detection: the system can automatically alert the dispatcher to a potential incident.
  • Step and movement data from the built-in pedometer improve the accuracy of the worker's route in the positioning system.
  • Two-way BLE communication with wristbands and workwear tags: alarm acknowledgment and monitoring of people within the vehicle's field of view.

Reliable in real mine conditions

  • Designed for operation from arctic climates to deep, hot workings: low and high temperatures, high humidity, pressure changes.
  • Protection rating of at least IP67; the design withstands constant bending of the lamp cable, dust and moisture.
  • The enclosure concept allows an explosion-proof version for mines where industrial safety requirements make it critical.

Integration with existing infrastructure

  • Powered by the cap lamp battery without noticeably reducing the lamp's operating time per shift.
  • The electronics can be built directly into the lamp's battery compartment if zonal positioning alone is sufficient.
  • Compatible with RealTrac Positioning (RTLS) and RealTrac CAS products: a single safety ecosystem for underground mining.
