PROD CAS 1700 is a collision avoidance hardware kit designed to prevent collisions between mobile equipment and people, powered by high‑precision UWB positioning. The kit is suitable for any mobile machine: from warehouse stackers and forklifts to large haul trucks and excavators.

Purpose and Applications

PROD CAS 1700 improves the safety of vehicle movements and maneuvers in warehouses, industrial sites, open pits, workshops, and any areas where people and machines operate together.

The system creates a set of safety zones around each machine and alerts the operator about collision risks with other vehicles or personnel equipped with tags of the Collision Avoidance system.

Operating Principle

  • The system primarily uses UWB technology, providing maximum response speed and high accuracy of locating objects equipped with Collision Avoidance system components.

  • UHF is used for long‑range detection and exchange of technical data between kits installed on equipment and personal/vehicle tags.

  • BLE is used for the “person in cabin/passenger compartment” function – such tags are excluded from hazard calculations to avoid false alarms.

  • The space around the machine is divided into zones (green, yellow, red). When tags enter yellow and red zones, the system generates visual and audible alarms for the operator and tag holders and may activate external systems.

Software Capabilities and Configuration

  • Web‑based configurator for setting up safety zones, alert levels, relay parameters, and logic for personal and vehicle tags.

  • Flexible configuration of zone shapes and sizes for specific equipment types and operating conditions.

  • Deep customization for unique customer requirements: non‑standard zone geometry, special alert scenarios, integration with existing IT and HSE systems, and custom reaction and event filtering algorithms.

Integration with Safety and Control Systems

  • Full support of the RealTrac server platform:

    • configuration and diagnostics of PROD CAS 1700 kits via the server,

    • monitoring equipment status in near real time,

    • transmission of location data of CAS kits and detected personal/vehicle tags to the server for analysis, reporting, and dispatching.

  • Integration with external safety and control systems: braking systems, audio‑visual alarms, interlocks, etc.

  • Support of EMESRT Level 9 Intervention Control – enabling automatic interventions (slow‑down, stop, interlocks) through various systems.

  • Integration with Nerospec SK equipment is supported to build advanced automatic collision avoidance and risk management solutions.

Operator and Personnel Alert Modes
  • Yellow zone – warning mode: directional indication on PROD VCD 050, medium‑intensity audible alarm, notifications on tags.

  • Red zone – emergency mode: bright visual indication, high‑intensity sound, strong vibration on tags, activation of relay outputs for external systems.

  • “Person in cabin/passenger compartment” function based on BLE excludes tags inside the cabin from hazard calculations, significantly reducing nuisance alarms.
